I really enjoyed the food during my 2-week stay in Asia, although I must say that most of the food was very different from my conception of Chinese and Korean food. I ate a lot of duck in China, and a lot of pork in Korea. While the food itself was very interesting, it was also nice to see different customs around the table. In China, everyone would sit around a large round table, with food served on a rotating platter in the center of the table. In Korea, meals seemed like a much more communal affair with cooking being done ourselves at a with a cooking plate or hot ashes in the center of the table.
